The factory of Ege Gübre Sanayi A.Ş, which started fertilizer production on March 11, 1978, was established on an area of 695,836 m² in Nemrut Industrial Zone, 60 km from İzmir, on the coast of Aliağa Nemrut Bay. Ege Gübre’s fields of activity include the preparation, production or supply and marketing of organic and inorganic plant nutrient mixtures required by the agricultural sector. Since 1986, the company has been selling fertilizers to around 500 dealers and some unions and cooperatives through tenders.
It has a plant with pipe reactor that produces 306,000 tons of compound fertilizer per year. These facilities can produce 297,000 tons of NP or NPK or 148,500 tons of DAP per year. The company supplies nitrogenous fertilizers such as AN, UREA and AS that it cannot produce from abroad and markets it domestically.
It has 2 closed product warehouses with a total capacity of 20,000 tons, one of which can store the fertilizers it produces and one can put 8,000 tons and the other 12,000 tons of bulk fertilizer. In addition, it has warehouses to store a minimum of 190,000 tons (55,000 m2) of bulk cargo, including 130,000 tons (38,000 m2) in the factory site and 60,000 tons (17.000 m2) in the port area.
