Şok or ŞOK Marketler ŞOK Marketler Ticaret A.Ş, which was founded by Migros Ticaret A.Ş in 1995, started its activities by opening 13 stores. The aim was to establish a cheap and low-cost small-sized widespread store network and to employ less personnel with the features in the shelf system and reduce the cost. Migros Ticaret A.Ş. 291 stores were opened in 2000, 311 stores in 2005, 980 stores in 2009, and 1254 stores in 2010, respectively.
It was purchased by a consortium led by Gözde Girişim, one of the Yıldız Holding companies, in August 2011. Having completely renewed its concept with the sale, Şok Market completely renewed its stores.
