Ankr Protocol has been hacked into billions of dollars!

BNB Chain-based DeFi Ankr Protocol confirmed on November 1 that it had suffered a multimillion-dollar cyberattack. Ankr made a statement on his Twitter account almost an hour after the attack took place. Ankr stated that a cyberattack has occurred on aBNB and they have spoken to exchanges that support this asset to immediately stop their trading.

The attacker was allegedly able to mint 20 trillion Ankr Bet BNB (aBNBc), a prize-winning token for BNB. Since then, the exploiter has used services such as Uniswap, Tornado Cash, and various bridges to exchange and hide funds, successfully earning around 5 million USD in Coins. It is believed that either a vulnerability in the protocol’s smart contract or the compromise of private keys is responsible for the exploit.

BlockFi files for bankruptcy!

BlockFi announced on November 28 that it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The filing in the Bankruptcy Court for the United States District of New Jersey involves the company and its eight subsidiaries.
